you are a genious sova, what would we do with out you?

My point is that if it is a big enough issue to cause a problem now it may cause bigger issues later when they do have children. As a father I know how emotional parents can get in regards to their children, beliefs, and the way those children are raised.

Small issues now can become bigger issues later.

and, to stress my main point here, I'm not heartbroken that she dosn't want our kids to follow my childhood traditions vs. her's... I just don't want my kid being the only one in school who's not following the tradition (or vise versa)... like I said, in my school back in NJ, 100% of us did the Santa thing.. a non-Santa kid would have been really uncomfortable...

All the replies I've gotten so far have been helpful. I am most surprised at All5ofus's answer.. I really didn't think someone would be able to get their kids to know Santa is fake and then go to school and keep it to themselves..

Thanks for all the replies gang...
I hear ya, if you the two of you are comfortable with the difference in opinion and are able to come to an agreement its not a big deal, but as I mentioned in my previous post, becoming a father and having children is a very emotional situation, having a difference in beliefs in the way that child is raised can be very taxing.

i went to battle creek st philips and everyone i knew believed in santa, and as every child STP (school initals) supported belief in santa in those early years of school. Shes being a pain. Santa is a part of growing up along with the easter bunny and trick or treating

ohh yea with halloween comes along, if you have kids, make sure they dress scarrrrry. Nothing makes me more mad then someone at my door with a princess outfit or a power rangers suit
