Default Dana 44 and r&p questions.

First off for the easy one.. im goin 9" rear and d44 front, is it ok to run 4.90 in the rear and 4.88 up front? Its only locked when in 4x4.

also now the harder one..

Im goin fullwidth axles. My buddy has a d44 front. i was told i can use chevy flat top knuckles on it, but that will leave me with 6 lug outer. He tole me that i can use the chev knuckles with cj d30 outers and rotor and bearings set up and all.. anybody have info on this?? any help is appreciated. Thx Mike

so basically ford d44, chev knuckels and cj dane30 rotor, bearings, and this bearings shafts/flange thing. thx

yes that is fine

use chevy small bearing spindles and ford hubs and rotors, you will use the chevy brake caliper and bracket. Also use the chevy stub shaft. I am running this exact setup.

If your going with new flat tops and highsteer, parts mike has a kit with Dedenbear 4 stud chevy flat top knuckles, with 5 bolt spindle pattern.

The kit with arms, balljoints, knuckles and hardware is like $749.

I am running 75 waggy (same as chevy) flat top knuckles, spindles, stubs shafts, caliper brackets, and calipers, and wheel bearings. Ford hubs, rotors, and wheel seals.

Pretty sure any year stub shafts, calipers and brackets work. But you have to use the small bearing chevy/fsj spindles, which IIRC are 70's era stuff.
