Default YJ winch mount

I need to create a winch mount for my YJ for my new warn m8000 winch :)

I'll be using 1/4" plate. Now I can't just make a plate and bolt it down to the stock bumper mounting holes because my spring hangers are located directly underneath. No bolt will be able to go through.

I need to do somthing like this...

What do you think?

I think if you are spending that much time coming up with a drawing/illustration and not looking at the truck then you should leave the fabbin' to professionals..... There are threads in the holes on top of the frame where the tow hooks go that normal winch plates bolt to.

On the other hand you could just cut the frame rails off back by the motor mounts and make new rails and a bumper that is integrated and lower profile..... just a thought

I think that your drawing doesn't make sense.

Are you saying that you covered up your bottom frame holes with your shackles?

thats the one i got.. paied $40 cash and it was even deliverd close to me :)

Yeah I put 1/4" plate under that hole so its not coverd. My spring eye is moved mabey 2" infront of it. I just do not want to have to drill a 1/2" hole.... my drill bits suck and don't even think i own one long enough to get down there.
