Default Wanted: TJ motor mounts 4.0 Throttle body etc.

I am swapping the 2.5 in my 97 TJ for a 4.0. Perhaps you recently swapped a V-8 in place of your 4.0 and have some of the parts I need! I already found the Harness and ECM - still looking for the motor mounts - the part that welds onto the frame side from 97 to 2005? TJ 4.0. Also still looking for 4.0 Throttle Body with sensors etc. for ODBII

Odds and ends - TJ fan shroud for example...

Will buy outright, or trade for my XJ stuff

Best way to contact me is by emailing me at KTM_Mike@hughes.net.

Thanks

Mike

Bry - close...but not quite. the mounts you show there are the part that bolts to the engine block, then one of the part that goes between the engine block mount and frame mount. What I am looking for is the part that is welded onto the frame. I might be interested in the throttle cable, and a few other items though once I get a bit further into this swap. Thanks.

I am getting 6cly. brackets to weld on a 4 cly.frame like you are.so far I got the top part of the bracket from the dealer part numbers are #52058864 and #52058865,price was $28.50 and $34.75.I have ordered the botton part of one side to see if it is the right part or not.will let you know if it the right part or not when it comes in.if you know any one who is a chry.person, you could get the parts cheaper.thanks.jeep man of westland.

Rubicon - Interesting timing! Based on the time of your post, I was on the phone with a Jeep dealer at the same time asking about mounts! I am confused with the top part and bottom part though? Is the top part the part that bolts on top of the frame mount, big motor mount bolt goes through it connecting it to the engine bracket (part that bolts to block).?

Dealer parts guy I spoke to said he could get (what I assume to be bottom part) part that welds to frame for $30 on one side, and $37 other side. He did mention something about a "Reinforcing bracket" that was specified only for the 2.5 liter, for about $20 each side - no clue what that is about.

Anyhow - LMK what you find out! Based on how relatively in expensive new mounts are, I may go that route (unless I can get some used ones for REALLY cheap!)

mike, the 2 parts numbers that I gave you are the left and right top part that is welded to the frame .there is a reinforcing bracket under these brackets.these are the brackets that I working on .I ordered one to see if that is the right reinforcing bracket.there is a metal bracket with a rubber
bushing in the center that bolts to the top of the 2 part numbers that I gave you,I beleive there's a bolt goes through that bracket.I will let you know more when the part I ordered comes in.the dealer's part pictures don't show much.thanks, jack

Jack

Thanks for the follow up. Please do let me know what you find out. I think I am going to order the parts you had #s for today - at least I can get those in hand. When I do, I am going to pick the brain of the parts guy a bit more on those "reinforcing brackets" - he was adamant those were shown as 2.5 only. Yet, when I removed my 2.5 brackets - I dont really see anything that would seem to be a separate "reinforcing bracket". I wonder if it is some sort of later model upgrade - or they are indeed for the 4.0? My TJ is a 97.

Default tj 6cly.brackets

I ordered the one reinforcing bracket from the dealer and it will work out ok.there is a right and left reinforcing bracket.the part numbers are 52058845 and 52058911.you will have to look at a 6cly.frame setup to see how the brackets are welded on and the location where on the frame,as the brackets are farer up the the front of the frame.I have a frame to look at if you need to check that out.it's in westland.mi hope this info. helps you out.jack

Jack - thanks. I ended up ordering the basic brackets (not the "reinforcing bracket") got them Friday - one quick look told me no way would that be adequate without the reinforcing brackets. I dont understand why they are sold separately even...does not make sense to me! Anyhow - thanks for the part #s - my local dealer did not seem so sure what I was asking for! As to location - I think I found a good source online, plus I plan to "test fit" my engine, with brackets bolted to it...line up with frame and tack them in place.

Ouchman - I already found a throttle body. I might be interested in the intake though. Send me more details.
