Default Up near our deer camp

one big ass bear

This Bear was hit on Hwy 64 between Merrill and Medford . It was being chased by a pack of wolfs and ran in front of a logging truck.

They estimated it was over 750 pounds. Kinda filled the 8'0' bed of the truck

guessing this wasn't recently because of the leaves on the tress and lack of snow on the ground.

I would want to see proof of that. Because according to MBHA the largest bear ever taken in Michigan was back in 1950 and it wieghed 650 pounds.

Plus that picture of that bear does not look like a black bear. The coat is to light looks more like a North American Brown Bear.

Also if this bear was hit by a car. Unlike deer bear kills by autos are taken by the dnr. The owner of the vehicle is not able to keep the animal. But that could be a DNR truck.

Well according to crassell I am correct. Because the only place your going to find a grizzly in Michigan is at a zoo.
