I was just talking to a guy down there, because we were supposed to be doing some work, and they put it off because they thought they were going to have a gabillion people applying. Well he was calling me to tell me we could go down there and do our work because they've had TWO applicants. I thought somebody here might be interested.

I'm pretty sure that money is tax free also, I may be wrong though

my cousin went over to Iraq as a contract employee (communications expert - ex-military) and they don't tell you everything up front. A large sum of money is dangled in front of you to get you over there.

He ended up coming home early because they weren't paying and couldn't keep him busy.

If you are interested THOROUGHLY check the opportunity out before you accept.

Most of these jobs are continuously doing quarterly, semi-annual, and annual services on convoy vehicles. A lot of these guys augment the Maintenance sections of non-transportation companies or Battalions that don't have a Forward-Supoprt Company attached to them. We had a couple of those guys in our Battalion Maintenance shop and they were a big help when vehicles got hit or needed sudden major repairs that didn't fit into our operator-assisted mechanic's schedules very well.

From what I saw, this was not an outside the wire job. If your ass gets landed on the Victory/Liberty/Slayer/Stryker complex at BIAP where there are big PX's, movie theaters, swimmign pools, organized sports, and a co-ed environment with a lot of other civilians from a variety of countries, it would be a cool gig. If you're younger and don't have a family, it could be an excellent way to generate the capital to get your own business off the ground.

Just don't let all that distract you from the obvious risks.

You would be making roughly $30 bucks an hour assuming they pay 1.5 time over 40 hours.

Your search - i whould love that job but no exipacne expact in shcool - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:
  • Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
  • Try different keywords.

If I was a welder I'd do it, that's 3 times what I'm making as an engineer.
