Ever worked for a famous person ?

A PM got me thinking about this . Have you ever worked for some one that is famous ?

Tour buses are known for running out of fuel . Iv done service on a few of them headed for TC . One was Lorett Lynn that i recall . She never even said thanks .

none of them ever even stuck there head out of the bus

I did one time work security for Tom T Hall . He was pretty cool guy actually .

I was personal security and stayed back stage when i wasnt escourting him some where . When i took him to his tour bus he invited me in , chated a bit gave me a cold one . Very down to earth sort .

Back stage was a table full of food , help your self , he he OK

:gman: :gman:

On the other end of the scale iv worked for a few well known Mob names . I ll let that go at that . Before i really need this :gman: :gman:

I worked for a guy who got busted for tax fraud and spent some time in a halfway house ...he was in the papers for a while ...does that count ?

I also worked for uncle Sam for a while and everyone knows him . I was a security insurance agent , I insured security for our great nation.

I'm a sound engineer, both live and studio, have worked with just about every band in hard music at one point or another, mostly just one night live gigs of overdub sessions, but did do a 3 month europe tour with Korn and POD, was fun, but definatly the one and only tour i will ever do.

as for mob, i'm sure most of the east siders will remember the Wolverine Golf Course Indictments, my dad was one of the 14, along with my boss and his whole family.

I got pulled out of elementary school because I was "sick" once. My dad used to lay carpet. He was doing a job at Isaiah Thomas' house and needed my "help". In reality, he just wanted a kid to be around so he'd be more tempted to sign something.

Cousin dated one of the old time Red Wings grand daughters. Can't remember who it was though. They only dated a couple times.

Other cousin is marrying Chris Weber's brother.

As far as me? Not really. I like to keep a low profile.

I caddied for Steve Yzerman, Chelios, McCarty... pretty much the entire Meijer family (Famous in MI), hmm the actor that played robin in batman and robin, cant think of his name at the moment. Out of all of them McCarty and Chris Odonnel (robin) THATS IT were the coolest, there were some kids plaing in one of the creeks that ran through the course and McCarty took some golf balls and started tossin em at the punk kids, good stuff. Meijer tipped the best, won the member/guest tourny with him and got over 600 bones for 3 days, not bad.

When the Lions played at the silverdome, I did the field maintainance for the grass outdoor practice fields. Mainly sprinkler work and we painted the lines and numbers on the field twice a week.

So, we got to meet everyone.

most of the time it sucked..

We'd paint on tuesdays. Well, they'd always lose on sunday, then monday was off, so back to work on tuesday. So I'd be down in the locker room to get the keys, and many times I was run over by some 340 lb scary looking white guy with long hair..

I did get tons fo footballs, pads, gloves, etc. The receivers gloves with the sticky leather grips were cool..

When I was involved in hot air ballooning, Isiah Thomas gave a hot air balloon ride to his wife for their anniversary.

He blind folder her, with her bikini top, and we got the balloon heated up and ready for take off, he walked her over to the basket, lifted her in and they took off! It was great, she took off the blind fold, and was shocked!

It was a morning flight, and I chased for them. I stopped at a bakery and bought them two chocolate cup cakes with whipped cream and a cherry on top for their anniversary.

When they safely landed, and we were having the traditional champagne toast, I gave them the cupcakes. His wife says " These look like boobs", then added "These look my MY boobs"!!!

She was hilarious!!

I have a few stories. I have done work on people cars like Eminem, his brother, and a few Pistons when i worked at Al Dittrich GMC(now its Lunghammer GMC) in Waterford. Well my old boss(Tom Dittrich) there is sorta famous. Hes a convicted child mollester, he got caught having sex with his daughters 13yr old best friend(the daughter walked in on them doin it). There was a big trial around these parts a few years ago. I got to drive his Ferarri a few times and clean the blood out of his Denali too.
