Ah, no! I will read the book first then tell everyone on the internet how deceitful and inaccurate it is.

Okay, what does that have to do with Christmas? I don't tell you that you can't celebrate your sign or say the name of your sign because it's Pagan and offends me.

"Happy.Holidays" was the way you basically said Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all bundled into a shorter phrase. It wasn't some conspiracy to deny you the right to say Merry Christmas. You people listen to too many talk shows. I say both Merry Christmas and "Happy.Holidays". They are interchangeable. "Happy.Holidays" isn't some PC new idea that just showed up. Shut up already.

And by the way, Christmas is the celebration of a pagan rite. A religious Christmas celebrating the birth of Jesus would be on his birthday, which has been proven to not even happen during the month of December.
Scooge!!! You seem kind of grumpy lately.

Not really grumpy. Just tired of the intolerant people taking over the world. I could care less how people express their holiday wishes. I just get ticked when I say "Happy Holidays" and the snooty bible thumpers sneer at me for not thinking like they do. I could care less if you say Happy Kwanzaa to me. I'll likely say Merry Christmas to you. I guess I just wish we could see people being more tolerant of each other without trying to force each other's views on each other. I tolerate people's religions. It doesn't affect me. It affects me when they try to legislate religious activities thru laws. I guess that sums up my side of it.

From my posts here most would be surprised that I enjoy church music. I appreciate the musical qualities. I could watch Bill Gaither gospel shows for hours. The musical talent is incredible. I just don't share their religious beliefs. But, I don't ask them to stop being Christians just because I am not one. It all comes down to tolerance. The vocal minority of the religious movement just don't have any of it. Sorry I'm rambling. I've switched to more red wine than beer lately. Easier on the stomach and its good for the heart. :tonka:

Well if you like the Gathers, you will love Signature Sound.......as far as vocals go. The Bass singer is awesome.

You obviously know from meeting me and through my Post that I'm a strong believer in the the Christian Faith. You and I seem to get along fine, but not all people were raised to repect each other like you and I were.

Well anyway I will say Merry Christmas, and I will definately except your #Happy# #Holidays#.

I grew up in a Methodist Church, attended a Presbyterian related college, etc... I was brought up to respect others. (unless they happen to be dweebs like Chiefhoohaa)

I agree we get along fine. I respect your opinions and you obviously repect mine even though you disagree with them completely from the bottom of your being. You understand tolerance.

Yule/Winter Solstice

(around DECEMBER 22nd)
also known as: Yuletide, Alban Arthan.

Yule is the time of greatest darkness and the longest night of the year. The Winter Solstice had been associated with the birth of a "Divine King" long before the rise of Christianity. Since the Sun is considered to represent the Male Divinity in many Pagan Traditions, this time is celebrated as the "return of the Sun God" where He is reborn of the Goddess
