His ideas look good. I really like that part about

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Not bad!

Except for his "Debt and Taxes" issues section. Its all fluff there.

Yeah, cut taxes and reduce spending, but how? Some programs will have to be cut, and he offers no suggestions for that.

Otherwise,

Ideally I like Ron Paul for the most part.

In reality he can't win the Rebublician nomination and as a Libertarian or independent he will only get Hillary elected, just like Ross Perot did for Bill.

His assertion that the situation in iraq is an "illegal war" makes me want to shit on his face truthfully

I think most of his views are in line with ours, but I am afraid that he will draw votes away from the Republican party and cause us a Hillary... first bull dyke president :stan3:

Ron Paul aka Dr. No =
No Dept of Ed.
No Fed. Reserve Bank
No membership in UN or NATO
No federal drug laws
No troops in Iraq, or any other foreign soil
No IRS
Opposes censorship of pornography or anything else on the internet
Supports decriminalization of marijuana and prostitution
Opposes farm subsidies, greater support for NASA, funding for FEMA

Ron Paul is the only GOP candidate unequivocally opposed to the Iraq war and was the only Republican who did not vote in support of it. He is also the rare congressman who refuses a Congressional pension. He never accepted Medicare or Medicaid in his doctor's practice, nor did he allow his children to take federal loans for college.

Sounds like he has good values to me!

Don't waste your vote on your second choice of a candidate, just because you think your second choice is a winner.

He stated in one of the vid's I posted that he will not run if not nominated as a Rep.

He has a better chance than the media is broadcasting. If nothing else people should get out to the primaries (assuming we have one in MI) just to make sure they know we are paying attention.

There really would be no difference Between Hitlery or Googleyani we lose either way.

All this makes him sound like a fucking retard. Communism is a good theory too. Anarchy is just as stupid.

Altho I respect that he has decided not to run as a 3rd party.

Not anarchy, local accountability. Let us decide what and how to teach our kids, Let us decide what drugs should or shouldn't be allowed in our communities and how to control them. Let us decide what our families should be able to see on the internet.

I like all of the above ideas, except for his anti-war stand. Ideally I agree that we need to stay out of other countries business, unfortunately that isn't the world we live in. Even if we stay out of their business they don't stay out of ours. The world is far too dangerous today to play games. National defense should stay national.

I'm not so sure about his fed reserve stand either, that seems like a good job for the feds. Although going back onto the gold standard is interesting, but I don't know enough about it to say if it's agood or bad idea.

The other stuff should be handled by the states or the people respectively(I read that some where).

I say vote for him in the primaries if you like him enough. At least you'll send a message. He won't make it nationally, but as long as he doesn't run as an independent it won't hurt anything to give him your vote in the primary.

You should do some more research on the fed. . . the gov has no control over the fed besides a vote of who's running it.

I got stopped by a hippie 2 nights ago at wal mart that was talking about this guy. Kinda freaked me out in the dark parking lot....

He walks up and says "Mr. S, do you own a gun?"

Ok, first, he must have been a student at some point to call me that but he wasn't one of MY students...

And all I can think about is....is this hippie going to pull a gun on me. I had my hand on my weapon when I told him I owned several guns.

Then ge goes into the whole ron paul thing. God that was an odd conversation.

I'm voting for him. I don't agree with all his ideas but I don't agree with almost any of the Hildabeast and the US won't move with a Republican President and a Democrat Party . . . . Lets just hope Hillary doesn't win the Democrat nomination because Mr. Paul will steal the Republican vote and the Democrats will win easily.

Ron Paul has been sliping more and more into mainstream media coverage as of late and that is a good sign. I would love to see him win but I don't think it'll happen but at the same time I don't think I'll be wasting my vote by voting for him either. Maybe this is the door that will finally open for a 3rd party. . . .
