Default dana 44. 5 lug to 8 lug?

alright i have a dana 44 in the front of my 84 dodge half ton. i would like to find a dana 60 eventually, but in the event i can't find one or it's way to expensive. how hard is it to convert my 5 lug to an 8 lug. is it as simple as changing the hubs and brakes? or do i need new knuckles as well. i already have flat top knuckles in the truck so i can do my high steer/crossover set up and would like to keep them. i already have a FF dana 60 rear that will be going in the truck after i lift it. i don't wanna have to run 2 diffrent sets of wheels when i get my truck done.

X2, i think you need the 6 bolt chevy style spindles. I believe Ford had a 5 bolt spindle.
