with toyota and nissan also making fullsize trucks now, its gonna be hard to make one not look similar to the other. they'll have beds, 4 doors, and a grille.

No looks are a big factor in trucks because women started buying them.

Up until the late 90's truck styles didn't change but once every decade. Now that the female buyer is interested in trucks and their popularity has risen they will invest more in the lineup.

I will admit that I would probably own a Gladiator if they had built it because it looked as bad ass as it was.

I don't see how the bedside storage is an industry first....Avalanches have had those since they first came out.
