some pics from today
we took what was supposed to be aquick run to the knik glacier.left at 8 am got home at 930 pm lol.had 2 rigs flooded 2 times-1 had the engine filled-crankcase included-with water,other had 10-12 " of water inside-30 deg water lol.the red and black xjs are on 35s
sunrise over the glacier ![]() ![]() opps ![]() ![]() glacier silt can be nasty.it looked nice and solid,you can see the rocks next to it and behind it.he couldnt get up the ice lip so he went to back up to bump it a little harder and as soon as he hit the gas it sunk.lol ![]()

notice the dark line and reflection? thats water
it is a early 60s scout nice rust free rig lol this was the shallow time he sunk it.was crossing metal creek and the water was only 6" deep but didnt notice it was just overflow.the ice under it broke nad it dropped 3 ft or so.was kinda cool to see lol ![]() a couple sheep-never have seen them on the flats before ![]() a real clean 75 bronco that went with us ![]() i will post more once i get them from the other guys. |

Looks like a great time. My brother lives in Eagle River and is putting together a Scout right now. He'll be here in Michigan this coming weekend for Christmas so I'll have to get him on this site so he can hook up with you guys sometime. He does some mild wheelin now, but he is usually the tow guy since he also has a military 5 ton with a boom on it.
