Spiral fractured the femur, toes to nipples cast with a hole to poop for 3-6 weeks.

Holy crap! We'll put him in our prayers. It's just a matter of time before my little guy breaks something.

With a spiral fracture, did they interview you for abuse? I don't know how you could do that on a femur, but when there is a kid with a spiral to the arm, abuse is the first thing they think of.

For clarity, I am not saying you abused your kid, I am asking how the hospital reacted to the injury. Seems they go a little overboard on abuse things these days....like kids aren't going to ever just hurt themselves anymore.

Yes I had to talk to child services....for those that know me and Xander you know he's my #1 buddy and I would NEVER cause any harm to him. I got a lot of, "thats a pretty severe break for just a slip and fall", needless to say I agree, it was VERY freak.

Unfortunately there IS some idiot out there who has broken his kids arm/leg and you and I get interogated because of it.

That sucks. With spiral breaks you should have him checked for vitiam deficiencies. Weak bone structure. Test like that. Usually when there is one spiral there will be more if it's not a fluke. Lets hope this is a fluke and holy F femur!! Damn, that must have been a hard fall!

Prays are on there way.
