Default why are these so big?

i have a 79 3/4 ton p/u dana 44 in the front but these lock outs are just huge.what is the difference between these and the smaller lock outs?other than the size..thanks!

Some older d44 will have external lockouts, they are a bit more expensive. I'm not sure what those are though, they look different then the external Warns I had.

they are stronger than the other lockouts you are use to. They are "Spicer" lockouts and made to last.
