looking to buy a wrangler t-case in good useable shape....
I think they are called np231

once i have the tcase, i will order an sye kit and the right adapter to fit it up to my 700r4/350v8 combo, just will need to know what year it was from and what trans was mounted to it.

anything out there? planning a trip to grand haven (DMCJeep's) in the next few weeks...

i will also need the shifter handle and linkage

You may want to open your search to a FSJ NP-208, Jason. They're a very strong, driver-drop t-case with the same bolt pattern/spline count as the NP-231 (assuming it's a 23-spline version). I just sold my last one of these, but they're out there, stronger than the NP-231, and they don't have a slip yoke rear.

There is a 231-J and a 231-C. The J is a jeep t-case, the C is a chevy. The 231-C should be in blazers and S-10s and will not need an adapter for the 700r4.

If your Chevy trans. has had an adapter installed for the D300 or D20 Jeep t-case, the the chevy 231 may not bolt up.

I think another option is the dakota t-case, but don't quote me on this. Just seems like I heard somewhere they are stronger.

NP231 out of a 93 YJ with a 2.5 and AX15. It works perfectly. $150 in Traverse City. Give me a shout.
