I think I'm going to Pin a $50 bill on my Peg Board in my Garage. Then invite all the Cheapthrill's guys(and gals) over.
The first one to find out what is causing the problem, gets to keep the $50.

Okay, I'm about ready to give this piece of heap away.........................
You can't buy half of the sensors from the autoparts stores, if you call Ford, they don't have a clue on what you are talking about...............
and after 30 hours on my back under this stupid thing, it is still not working.

The throttle positioning sensor (TPS) is located on the bottom side of the Plenumn(another wonderful Ford design) what does the TPS have to do with the transmission shifting? Or was I sold down the river by a parts guy, so he could sell a non returnable electric part. I don't want to have to tear the whole top of this motor apart to change this sensor if I don't have to.

it should be on the throttle body, thats where its located on the 2.9's, never had a look at a 302 tho

trans problem

did you check all the fuses my truck will pop a fuse about once twice a year
shifts all crazy put in new fuse good to go!! fuse is in the dash .
my truck is 94 4x4 250 diesel.

I checked all of the fuses in both fuse boxes, but they are good,....anywhere else to check?

Its on the throttle body I had to replace it on my 96 a few years ago. The thing is if the tps was bad the O/D off light on the shifter sould flash. What stealership did you call?

Try pushing the button and see if it lights up with the truck running. What ever happend with the scan that you did on it?
