Not really. It's pretty Black and white in most things in Christianity. At least the base believes.

Explain to me how the big bang theory happened? I'm sure it makes sense at the begining, but when you get down to it it's some how Mysterious. Sound familiar? If I'm way off, Please tell me how it works (You, MikeSova, tell me, Not someone else) Tell me how you get something from nothing? Please!

you don't get something from nothing...the universe was compact then something happened and it began to expand. I'm not claiming to be an expert on the big bang theory.

I'm sorry if I made it sound like I wanted you to be an expert. So many people Discredit the Creationist view on how it all started because of a God that was just there. However, I'm saying that there always has to be something there. You can't get something from nothing. So....IMO I believe that God created us in some form and except that God was always there.

The Big bang theory is no different to my belief. No matter how far you go, There has to have something that has been. It's a theory and there is no written proof to how the world began. Just the thoughts we have on how it started. It's just as "mysterious" as Christianity.

P.S. Sorry if it feels as though I'm always dogging on you. It's just our opinions don't match at all and I like to shoot my mouth off. :chiefwoohaw: So, Sorry if I've come on to strong.

You fail at being a Christian...

The Father is god
The Son is jesus
and the Holy Spirit is believed to be the act of god or the relator of god to man. It is said that the Holy Spirit is what resides in us when we walk the path of God/Jesus.

Therefore jesus is not god.

I would think this might help. (Remember, We're talking about Christian Doctrine, So we can use the bible to back it up. Doesn't matter what your opinion on the bible is. It's a Christian belief so it's founded in the bible.

Quote:
John 1:1-14
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.

3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[b]

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
OK, Verse 1- Jesus (the word, the Light) was with God in the beging and was God. That's why he was with him.

Verse 14 The word (Jesus) became flesh and lived among us. He came from the Father.

Verses 2-13 Explain John the baptist and his role in preparing the way for Jesus. Who, Offered Eternal Life and a promise to become children of God.

So....basically Jesus WAS God. He was the Role of God that became human form to live with us and then Die for us.

Dave Kerwin is Nothing close to a failing Christian and is trying to seak truth just as much as any of us. So, stop being immature and condesending and actually respect people. (edited becasue of crappy Mood)

That's like saying that I am God because I am a man of God. It doesn't work that way.

The Holy Trinity is also a church derived belief that doesn't have a lot of Bible verses (Read: Gods Word) to back it up. If you understand the concept of what the Trinity is supposed to resemble then you would see that they are not the same but simply share something in common. The Holy Trinity is nothing more than a picture of the Christian Faith. As a Christian you are supposed to follow the word and love of those 3 things.

My Brother, Sister, and I all share something and are a Trinity but we are not the same. Do you understand that? Similar but not the same.
I feel like I am talking to a bunch of LD kids here.

In all fairness you or I don't have a clue to the character of God. Neither can we comprehend it.

Here's how I look at it ( as best as I can)
Jesus = God in the flesh. Providing the Blood sacrifice to atone for our sins so we are saved.

Holy Spirit = God In us. The holy spirit is the helper and counselor for us as we live our lives and preach the good news.

God the Father = The God in Heaven. The one that is holy and Pure. That can't lay his eyes on us unless we are washed through the blood of Jesus.

And Those are just differenet roles of God. They share the fact that they are God, but they have completely different roles.

You're right, You can't say your are God. You were created by God, So that makes you a son Of God. A Brick can't say it's a Mason just because it was created by a Mason. I didn't imply that with what I said. He was with God at the very begining and was never created. That's what the verse I quoted was talking about.

Childish much? I'd rather be talking to a LD kid then a brat 5th grader who thinks he knows everything. <---See, I can do it too. Does it pertain at all to the Thread? No, But it does hinder my ability to have people believe I'm anything older then 12.

Raised to understand that they are all brainwashed by the church. Looks the the church is doing a good job at trying to rule the world. Now if they could just have these christians fight the muslims a little bit longer and wipe each other out.....then we (the atheists and agnostics) could rule the world. (evil tone) HA, HA, HA (end evil tone)
