Yea, A dual ported box needs more space.

Heck, even a dual sealed box needs more volume.

I don't understand why if you run a single sub, the sub needs less space. Kind of odd but I think the guys that design them know more about them than me. :tonka:

like this sub in a dual ported box is 1.2 but in a single ported box it's .9 Not a huge difference but enough....just because it's a dual? I am no engineer. LOL

I got the stuff through Techronics via a friend in the industry. The people there were very nice. Shipping is a bit high though...maybe not though, the stuff was pretty heavy.

Yea, amp is a class D mono. Sub has a 800 watt RMS. So is the Amp. The sub in the YJ was a 400 RMS I think but I had no where near that running it. And it sounded good. This thing should get the attention of the cops. :tonka:

See above posts. MDF isn't strong enough, nor is it water resistant.

How much of this work do you actually do? Yea I'm a little jealous. Mainly because my workspace is to small to get shit done in the winter. I have to buy all my own tools too...

hahaha...well, I got the wife to carpet the box. I had to take my bandsaw, table saw, radial arm, router, and all the other wood tools into work to build the wood stuff and cut some of the diamond plate.

I have a huge ass garage but I want the kids to learn how to do this stuff. In a former life, I did quite a bit of it.

Yea....but it's fun. And think about this....they had to design it with a goal volume...and it's not a cube, so they had to use geometry...but they didn't know they were using geometry till it was too late. :tonka:

Few more things I guess...

Bling front shocks getting set up, dash just about back together, door speakers in, AMP in.
