Default 1988 Grand Wagoneer - NOW $1000 obo

Here it goes:1988 Grand Wagoneerdriver drop non-disco d44 front axlecentered d44 rear axle3.31 axle gearsrunning AMC 360 V8727 auto transnp229 tcase103k miles on everythingAll new heater hoses, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air cleaner, thermostat, and some fuel lines. Brand new battery. There's probably some other stuff I did that I forgot, too.The interior is in amazing condition with the exception of missing carpet behind the back seat. The only power window that seems to be working is the front passenger window. The power seats and mirrors do work.Bad news:It needs to have the front floor pans replaced. It needs exhaust behind the cat put on. I have all the parts, but I haven't taken the time to finish it.Oil dipstick needs to be put in, which probably means dropping the pan or removing the exhaust manifold. I'm too lazy to do either right now.Seatbelts aren't installed.Rockers are pretty much shot.Good news:I have two spare front left quarter panels since the current one is a little crusty and dented.Tires look very good.Brand new trans cooler. This is not a DD right now since it needs the floors, seatbelts, and exhaust fixed. However, that's about all it really needs. It runs great, but I haven't driven it more than 100' since it has no plate or insurance. Anyone looking for a reasonably solid waggy should check this out. It isn't perfect, but I'd say it's in very good shape for being a MI vehicle and with a little love it would make a sweet DD or winter beater. The interior is really in incredible shape. Jeep is located in Monroe, Mi and I'm around nights and weekends if you want to come take a look.http://s157.photobucket.com/albums/t.../1988%20Waggy/Down to $1000 or best because I need the room.

Delivery is possible for $1.00 per loaded mile.

Good luck with the sale, Phil. BTW, here's a shameless plug for a dirt-cheap new exhaust setup for a Grand Waggy (CLICK HERE).

Phil, can't believe you're selling the waggy....I've been waiting for it to show up in the "Rig Builds and Pics" section.
BTW, for anyone who's interested, I have seen this jeep and can agree that it has great potential.
Best of luck with the sale.

Eh? You tap it into the block from the outside.

Is the bottom of the old tube is broke off in the hole?

Nope, it's not broken off. You should be able to just tap it down into the block/pan from the top without removing anything. It was removed the opposite way because of a kink in the tube.
Should be a relatively straight forward and easy fix.

I bought the good tube from bulltear and tried that. It didn't go. Then I read ifsja.org and they say drop the pan and it's easier. I can try it again with a mallet this weekend.

Hmmm... ok. If you can't get it that way, I'd listen to the guys on ifsja as I'm sure many of them know much more about it then I do. However, I can tell you that the old dipstick was just pulled/pried out without removing anything else.

I'll try it again when I do the exhaust. Worst case I'll change the oil and drop the pan then.

I'm going to up the price once I put the full exhaust on this thing. If you're interested, speak up soon.

I'm going to try and put the exhaust on it today, at least back to the cat.

I lied. I'll consider trades for a CJ or YJ with a solid frame and tub. Exhaust parts are here, just haven't had time to put it together yet.

Bump. This will probably include a good gas tank skid and the price will go up on Sunday. Speak up quickly if you want it.

It now has a new transmission cooler installed and it will have a solid gas tank skid and mounting hardware next week. Price is now $1300 or trade for a YJ with a clean body.

I've now got the gas tank skid and a bunch of good spare parts. There is a spare piece of flooring included to patch the driver's side.

I've also got the exhaust on this thing now. It runs much better with backpressure. Put some fresh gas in it and start enjoying it.

If nobody is interested at this point, I'm going to plate it and keep it around.

I know I said I was going to keep this since I put a plate on it, but I'd still sell it if someone showed up with cash.

Actually, I'd love to trade this for a Buick Roadmaster wagon.

Bump. This is back on the market after a deal fell apart. I'll trade for any of the following, or sell it outright.

pre '72 CJ5
YJ body and front clip
slide-in pickup camper
possibly some other stuff, make me an offer

I really don't have time to deal with this and I have a huge pile of spare parts. I can deliver this for the cost of diesel to get it to your place.
