More media for Ron Paul could bean two things:

1. His campaign is gaining momentum and he is transitioning to becoming a leading candidate.

2. (warning: conspiracy theory) The contolled media is shining the spotlight on Mr Paul to split voters ala Clinton-Bush Sr- Perot '92. Divide and conquer.

Ron Paul has been sliping more and more into mainstream media coverage as of late and that is a good sign. I would love to see him win but I don't think it'll happen but at the same time I don't think I'll be wasting my vote by voting for him either. Maybe this is the door that will finally open for a 3rd party. . . .
He does sound a lot like H Ross back when he ran. Unfortunately, we're being set up for another Clinton in the White House using the same mechanism that put the last one in there (Perot splitting the vote).

I agree that it's time for a third party. Too bad that the mainstream media is so lined up with the and who don't want the competition. Look at the crap that happened when Perot (while he still had momentum) ran as a third party candidate. Media refused to cover him, state election boards refused to acknowledge them, some ill-informed morons questioned the legality of another party (apparently believing that and were the original ones).

Hillary is already starting to come apart just from internal battling - what'll happen when an actual lights into her? Obama is doing his best to sabotage himself by attempting to distance himself from Hilly and Edwards is a career also-ran...

The more you post, the more you sound like an uneducated retard.

Go do some reading on the libertarian party and why they want to abolish most of the federal government departments. It is very interesting reading.

I also agree that a vote for Ron Paul will probably be valued as a vote for Hillary as well. I just hope that she finally cracks and says something that pisses off the blacks and straight-ticket welfare voters (Democrats) that so blindly support her.

His only downside is his anti-abortion spin, which is VERY much against the Libertarian platform. But I guess that plays to the religious right Republicans.

I'm voting for him. If we have a primary here in MI I believe that we should all do our part and vote. Get educated on things. Read about each candidate. I believe that even if you are registered as a democrat that you should take the time to register as a republican just to get him on the ballot next year.

The Primary is on for Jan. 15. You do not have to register with a party to vote in a presidential Primary, but you can only vote once either or you can't vote in both partys primary. You do not have to vote with the party you voted for in the primary in Nov.
The National have said they will not accept a nomination from MI if we have the primary before Feb 6 or 9 (one of those days) so with that Obama, Edwards and some other canidate are not participating in the Jan 15 Primary in MI. So at this point a vote for Paul is in no way a vote for Hitlery she will most likle win the nomination in MI but the national party won't accept MI nomination anyway. And if by some chance Paul won the nomination nationally he would mop the floor with her and he wouldn't have to run a smear campaign to do it, but the rest of the would have him killed, probaly in a terrorist attack so they could call off elections all together and we could hail emperor Bush. info right here http://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7...645---,00.html check out the facts and statistics

I dont look at this political forum much, but actually changed my "Title" under my name just minutes before reading this thread. I have never voted but I am voting for Ron Paul in this upcoming election. Instead of just voting this election, I am trying to spread the word about Mr.Paul whenever political discussions pop up. The world needs more Ron Pauls.

He will be a candidate if YOU vote in the primary! Also Perot split the vote when the Republicans had a front runner (Bush Sr.) In Ron Pauls run, as well as, everyone else there are no front runners, only assumptions of who will be on the ticket in Nov. A vote for Paul in the primary can send the message even in Mich. Don't think your vote is wasted!
