Default Ride from GR/Allendale to Lansing?

Hey guys,

I'm buying a '83 Grand Wagoneer that's on the South side of Lansing, and will drive it home. I'm wondering if anyone makes that trip regularly, and if I can catch a ride from the Grand Rapids (or Allendale) area. Anyone?

Thanks,
Craig

I'll be leaving from Big Rapids to head down to the Detroit area tomorrow. I take 131 down to 96 all the way across the state. I can give you a ride. PM me.

GreaseMonkey - Thanks for the offer, but I couldn't leave midday (it's that annoyance called work that get's in the way of that plan). ; ) I work on the NW side of Grand Rapids until 4:00pm on weekdays.

BMFMike - I wasn't quite clear on your post. Would you just want some gas $$$, or dont' you have a vehicle at all? If you could clarify, we'll go from there. I do appreciate the offer for help.

Thanks guys,
Craig

I have a G-ma car right (88 Dodge Shadow) now that gets me around but i might have an XJ as soon as this weekend, I am not sure what you do for parts but I want around 5 1/2 or more. The XJ i am looking at has a new 3 inch BDS lift that I would trade or whatever.

If you cant help me out there Ill give you a ride for a little cash but just more of gettin to know people who wheel and tryin to get help when I need it. I dont drive a cadillac but it gets me around.

Dang...this would work out so well, but I forgot that I also have my Unlimited in the dealership for service tomorrow, and need to pick it up after work. I'll have to pass for Friday, but an afternoon/evening next week or the following week would work well.

Anyone else?

GreaseMonkey - I really appreciate your offer for help! Don't be afraid to ask for any help you need down my way, either.

Craig

Sorry BMFmike, I completely missed your follow-up post above. I don't foresee getting an XJ lift anytime soon, so I'd just have to give you some $$$ for gas/food. It would be great to meet another local Jeeper.

Shoot me your phone # via PM, and I'll give you a call to discuss this.

Thanks,
Craig

P.S. - Cadillac not required...you should see some of the ugly beaters I have had for daily drivers.
