The AW4 is a good tranny, as long as you don't make the 360 a barn burner, keep it mild. I recently read a write up on POR, the guy used a rotary switch and manually used his AW4. It was a 4 position rotary switch, each detent for each gear, and then a toggle switch for the torque converter lock up. Sounded pretty neat, and not too hard. Not sure what that the torque converter will bolt to that flex plate though. 700R4's are popular, and fairly cheap becuase of howmany of htem are out there, but adapters will be neccessary.
