Only 70k, v6, power everything-loaded. Still looks brand new. Fast, for an 88. Original owner died, and it sat in a garage for about 7 years. Of course, I had to replace all the struts, tires, timing belt and ignition stuff. I'm still in under $1000.

1982 honda prelude. Payed like $250 for it, bled (sp?) the fuel system to get it running. drove it for 2 years and only changed the oil once or twice in probably 35,000mi.

'71 Ford LTD 2dr, bought it in '97 for exactly $600. 429 and c6... Huge isnt the word - the car was a monster. It took abuse like nothing Ive ever seen. Straight up dukes of hazzard stuff. After about 2 years of solid beating I was running ditches one day and ran into a driveway culvert and it buckled the floor. It was a sad sad day. I get misty just thinking about that car.

$50.00 Subaru hatchback. Best 50 bucks I ever spent! I replaced the clutch and beat the crap out of it for two years. I never left a stop without performing a front wheel burn out. It was 4wd, we took it off road like maniacs! I crashed it into a Ford Escort and still drove it for a couple of months until I sold it to the junkyard for $50.00.

Had lots of good beaters.Had the Ranger 2.8 v-6,thought that was the shit until I got the "massive" 2.9 v-6.WOW! Could almost hit 80 mph with a good tail wind! That was all 2 wd.Sold off the junk and got the same junk (with 4x4) and still haven't looked back!Still miss the Bronco II with 6'' lift and Dana 35 and 8.8 with the 2.9 big motor.Or the Ranger with 36'' Fun Countrys. And can't forget the Ranger 2wd with the dually fenders and wheels.Way back before digitial cameras. Now it's all Chevy junk.

mine was a 1977 (if i remember corectly) pylmount volary sadan (4 Door) was givin to me from my uncle free plus two extra bold tires becase there was no tread on any of them. blew three tires before i got it home. drove it for four mounths until a ground hog finished off the wireing for me and i had to send it to the bone yard. no floor borads, no heat, no power but still miss how much fun it was to drive the good old days.

'84 Olds 88... The gray ghost. Got it for $100 - was supposed to be a demolition derby car.. it was too nice, ended up driving it for 3 years / 50-60k miles.. sold it for $350.. the only kwirk was the t-coverter would lock up at like 30 mph and wouldn't unlock until you got down to 20 mph with alot of chugging ... I simply unplugged the computer connection to the trans = fixed. Everyone told me the trans would burn up, but it never did!
