I think I need to take a day off work. God is telling me to write the newer testament that tells all these Jesus Freaks to give it up. He's on a beach in Aruba and just wants to be left alone.

Your argument has holes in it. Maybe there is a purpose and you're just not seeing it?

And if you are persecuted and tortured and won't give up your story, and eventually die a terrible death for what you said occured, I will at least give your life the respect of an investigation of what you said.

Have fun on your day off.

( this is simply a follow up on a side discussion earlier. My challenge to the reader is to think about how Herodotus is no more of a qualifiable witness to events than was Isaiah who recorded the events for the Bible. Yet no one rants and raves about Herodotus or other similar historical figures and calls them fairytales http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sennacherib )

I'm still waiting for the space ship with the little green men that planted us here to come back to harvest us.

I was not asking him to prove anything to me.

Just asking him to do a bit of research.

Sodom and Gomorrah
I have seen the discovery shows where they think they have found Sodom along the dead sea.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodom_and_Gomorrah

While that doesn't state for a fact that they know where the sites exist, they do say that the cities existed in a recorded document.

We are a science experiment just like an ant farm.

We are not born of God in the sense that God gives us each life but we are born of a world created by God, with abilities given by god. There is a purpose and you are not seeing it.

Here's the real shocker to all the Christians who claim tolerance, forgiveness, and compassion rule their being. God created homosexuality.

God no more created homosexuality than He created the torture that occured to Sodom Hussein's victims, or the illness that takes a 2 year olds life. God doesn't create the misfortunes of this world, He created the love for mankind that helps us deal with the problems.

You remember, it was not God who made Eve desire to eat the forbidden fruit in the garden, it was the tempter, the serpent, the beast. Odd that this would be one of the first stories of the Bible and it still applies to life today. How wonderful those stories must be that they transcend time in their truthfulness.

BTW, as a Christian I love all brothers and neighbors. Each of which has their sin, including homosexuality. I still love them, I just don't love or celebrate the sin in their lives. They'd be better off without it.

So you are saying that the Bible is the final word of God and there will be no more?

Do you forget the Old testament and the Wrath of God? Maybe you should look at the whole picture and see that God not only changes the rules of man he changes his actions towards them. So the bible which is all of 2000 years old may not be the most up to date word of God.

Not true. God did not change his rules for nor actions toward man. Man misinterpretted God's message or acted in defiance of God in some cases and so He sent Jesus to help us understand His love for us. Please name any one of the 10 commandments that is not valid today. Perhaps you are confusing Jewish law (over 100 of them appear in the old testament such as how to marry, divorce, etc.) with God's Law for Man:

Exodus 20:3-17 (also Deuteronomy 5:7-21)

1)3 you shall have no other gods before me.

2)4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me, 6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.

3)7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.

4)8 Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work. 10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God; you shall not do any work-you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.

5)12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

6)13 You shall not murder.

7)14 You shall not commit adultery.

8)15 You shall not steal.

9)16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10)17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
