I'd like something newer, guaranteed reliable, low miles, no rust, can carry a large table, get good gas mileage, and I have a $2000 budget. I sell cars too, isn't that annoying? hehe

I want a new truck....Something that can tow my jeep with ease, something that gets decent mileage and something that is very reliable.
I went and looked and looked at new trucks, i cant bring myself to spend 35 grand. I would like to set a price limit at under 25. I dont know if i should be looking for a gas truck or deisel (cant seem to spell that right) I really like the duramaxes but i also like the new body style fords. (well last year body style) I also really like the looks of the dodges but i dont know about a I6 deisel and i have heard that there hemis only get like 10 mpg. I also dont know if i want a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. I think a half ton could tow my jeep fine but it would be nicer on long tows to have a 3/4. I have to have leather and a ex cab. I ike stuff.....The more cool little add ons the better.

so....What should i be looking at :) What brand, style, engine, ect woudl you be looking at if you were me?

Depends on how many miles you are willing to have on the truck.

I have been looking for a low mile (under 100,000) 4 door 4x4 diesel 2003+ dodge, or 2004/5+ Ford.

It aint happening at 25,000.

27,000 is a better target.

As for the dirtymax, try 30,000.

Diesel seems to get about 3-5 mpg better then gas. Unless you are talking the big gas engines, then its about 5-7 mpg.

I may just go with another half ton, though 4 doors would make my life easier, as would a bigger truck to tow with, a half ton will still at least do the job.

The 5.9 cummins is one of the best engines ever. It has good power and torque and gets decent mileage.

hemi's get closer to 17-20 mpg when not towing, so if you want to balance that out with the towing mpg, that's one way to look at it. altho, when you're looking at towing, and a quad cab hemi is 36k, i would rather just buy a used diesal (if you can find one)

Hows come none of the truck prices are listed on the website, huh? I am e-tire kicking. I like when sites show me how bad I cannot afford what they sell.

I sold a very clean one with 79,000 miles on it last week :tonka:

Black
Lariat
Loaded

And no, it wasn't a farm truck.

I also sold a very nice truck to a GL4x4 Member yesterday. That truck was a needle in a haystack.
