Best way to wash a ball cap?

I have a hat that needs washing, in a bad way. What is the best way to wash it?

I always soak my hats in hot water using oxyclean, then toss it in the washer with a load of laundry

always comes out clean... Make sure you don't put it in the dryer though.. I've shrank two hats..

Is shrank a word?

I just throw mine in with my laundry, most of the bills are plastic underneath now and wont hurt it much, eventually the edge of the bill frays, but i like that on my favorite hat

throw it in the laundry, DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER otherwise it will shrink...it takes about a day to air dry, comes out great....like new....even fitted hats work fine....

i just fill the sink or a pickle bucket with hot water and oxyclean. Let it soak over night. Wash off and air dry. I dont throw them in the washing machine because it messes up the bill pretty often. They come out real nice.

I have shrunk my fair share in the dryer. My grandma gave me a hint to dry them. Evidently my grandpa had a metal bowl that was a perfect stand-in for his head. After washing the hats went over the top of the bowl to dry. Guaranteed a shrink-free drying. I have yet to find the perfect bowl but I use one that is close.

I usually lose hats before they get that dirty.

Not that I wear hats that often anyways.

Maybe if you threw them the dishwasher with some 180* degree water then the little critters wouldn't be eatting your head!

I have 5 or 6 hats that need washing. I always used the dishwasher untill it broke. Now Kim just throws it in the washer, and let air dry.
