Default D44 hi steer in XJ no worky

My hi steer tie rod hits my JKS tracbar, so much that I can't bolt my tie rod in.

Ideas are appreciated. For the record, I am using Extreme Engineering hi steer arms.

Pic would help.

Does the tie rod sit closer to the axle then the drag link?

so are you trying to do high steer or cross over steering?

if high steer are both high steer arms the same length or is the driver side shorter?

cross over + hi steer was my intention.... (does this not work )

the passenger side arm has two holes, one for drag link, one to the tie rod, driver side has just the hole for the tie rod.

Not really seeing much in the pics.

My guess is its time to refab your track bar mount. You'l got a lot of non-stock parts under there, not easy always to make it fit.

How is your track bar mount compared to the stock dana 30? Can it move rearward at all? Looks like its mounted in front of the axle? Or is it just laying there.

It is the stock D30 mount.

I thought about bending the tracbar out of the way, it bulges forward a good 2 inches currently. Pros, cons to that?

I haven't seen anyone pull this off without both arms the same length and doing a inverted T set up. That is what I am gonna try on the tj, hopefully it will work.

Maybe a straight track bar you might pull it off but I think your stuck with a crossover set up and flip the tie rod on the knuckles. Unless you get a different driver side arm.

What is an inverted T?

Where the drag link hooks to the tie rod by the pass side knuckle.

Run the drag link with the 1 ton stuff to the high steer arm and run the stock tie rod for now.

Edit: stole from jcr but this is a inverted T set up

tie rod and drag link no likey each other. You have to get the tie rod out away from the axle to clear the track bar.

where you moving it to, that is the problem. to many links, springs and mounts in the way.

And on top of all that you will have to severely limit up travel to stop it from hitting the frame.
