Default Suggestions for axles?

We have a 1964 Jeep CJ-5. Chevy 350 V-8 mated to a Turbo 350 Transmission mated to a Spicer 18 transfer case. Axles are original Dana
44 rear and Dana 25 front. Nobody makes a locker for the Dana 25 and I don't want to weld it as we do drive it a fair amount on the streets.
The trails we are now driving on require us to have lockers. Thinking about keeping the 1964 frame and buying a set of new generation Dana 44's from Mopar for the JK's. Then mating a left hand offset Atlas transfer case to the Turbo 350 trans. At this point may make sense to change from leafs to coils. Thought also about International Scout axles, but they mostly seem to have highway 3:07 gears. Need some design help for some good dependable axles at a reasonable price. Any suggestions?? Any help is appreciated.

Easiest, and more reasonable, IMO, would be a matched pair of axles from a mid 70s Wagoneer/Cherokee

Sepcifically one with Quadratrac full time 4 wheel drive.

these would be front and rear dana 44s, probably 3.73 gears. But the good thing is the quadratrac one shave an offset rear axle to match your dana 18 offset T-case.

Talk to PavementPounder, or wait, and he'll chime in here.

They are about 8-10" widers than what you have now. Would be great with that setup.

Depending on the gearing, a NT dana 30 might be another option. Bonus of axle swap = front disk brakes.

i have a friend of mine that has a NT dana 44 that he wants to get rid of if you go with NT axles

I have a set of the exact FSJ axles H aggar mentioned with the offset rear. The front also has flat-top knuckles. They are NT FSJ, which is about 60.5" wide.

As an alternative, I have a 30-spline pass drop D44 housing that has been cut to CJ NT width, along with some/all the 5x5.5" parts needed, to include flat-top knuckles. Shafts can be included, but are not yet resplined. It can be had in any stage of completeness. NT CJ fronts were never produced, so that axle Fraser mentioned is from some other vehicle if it hasn't been cut down.

PM me if you are interested in these or other options. I also have access to a J-20 QT Dana 60 rear if you are considering an 8-lug setup. I sold it and it went unused.

I'd go this route with a Saginaw steer swap. I did a similar setup on my 71 and had good luck.
