what did you pay..and the 460 is a nice motor. i dont know if it is true or not but i was told there are a lot of restrictors on the motor for polution control ect.. if you have them removed big increase in power.

I haven't ever thought about a bigger vehicle costing less, except for maybe a diesel. Are you thinking it will be cheaper, cause you won't wheel it?

i look at it as being cheaper cause i dont have to build build up nearly as much, and it doesnt break as much as my jeep did. this truck wont see any real hard wheelin, mostly silver lake, 2 trackin, and maybe some mounds play. eventually im gonna build up a cj to wheel harder, but right now i dont have the cash for a major jeep build. besides i kinda hated dd-ing my jeep, cause its way too small.

Then you're gonna really hate a regular cab pickup. At least that was my take when I owned my 96 F150. But I had a damn tonneau cover on it that was difficult to remove, and a slippery ass bedliner. You never put anything in the bed unless you wanted to crawl 8' to retrieve it. At least your's is 'open'.

And if you've got another vehicle to run those errands (ie, grocery shopping) in, you'll be good.
After four years of daily commuting in my F150, I finally said, 'Why am I doing this?'. I traded it for a new 2002 Cavalier Z24. Double the mileage, easier to maneuver in the parking structure where I parked, and really a whole lot more fun to DD.

But, like I posted, I still think that was the best looking late model F-Series truck ever built.

updates, i put some 36" rtII's on it with some new black wagons (thanks to ebs and 99grandtj). peeled the cheap chrome off the rockers too, looks alot better. once it gets warmer im gonna build up the motor a little (cam, exhaust, etc..), work on the suspension (less shocks :tonka:) and hopefully get some new gears and lockers in it.
