Ball joints? My dads 02 E350 already has all new balljoints, and it doesnt even have 50k miles. Although they shoudnt really cause deathwobble. How many miles? Possibly U-joints? Have you had the wheels balanced? I know from experience the steel wheels dont always run very true.

2/4wd??

I agree with the above post though.....and by "deathwobble" do you really mean death wobble or a bad bad vibe around 65?

I ask because I've never ever heard of or seen an E-van with "deathwobble".....more than likely your issue is either a worn tie rod end/balljoint/loose wheel bearing or bad/out of balance tires

once it hits 65, its nearly impossible to stay on the road, its like driving jello. he had the tie rods and ball joints redone this summer to prevent the problem because we discovered it going to tennessee. it's 2WD w/ 71k.
