Default Heat Exchangers

Anyone have one for their fireplace? Worth the $300+ price tag?

BTW, looking for one for a wood burning fireplace.

My fireplace has one. I am not too impressed with it but it is old - probably late 70's. I'd have to see a new one to guess if it would be better or the same as mine.

That is similar style as mine. I would want to see a demo. Mine is loud on high and even though it does put out hot hot air, you can't tell 10' away from it. Hardly makes a difference in my 13x20 living room. If that one really does put out 40,000btu and can heat 1000sqft like it claims it might be worth it.
