Well, I guess you kinda had a good reason to think it was ok since you heard other people did it.

What do you serouisly think the answer would be if you told a dealer that you wanted to drive there vehicle on a trip to keep miles off your lease.

AHHHH I THINK NO would be a good answerto that and the reason you have heard of people driving cars for a few days is usaully because they have one that is in service and the dealer is compansating them.

Not to mention to even get to the fact of using a vehicle over night or over the weekend you have to really make the sales person which is strickly commision feel that you actually want to buy the vehicle before they will agree to let you take it on a over night test drive. So you would totally be waisting his/her time and energy.

Moral of the thread bad idea almost as bad as stealing
spend the money to get a rental car which would cost on average $25 a day x3 =$75 or drive the 350 miles which is probably 15 cents for every mile you go over totaling a wopping $55.60 including the tax charge on the miles. Or if you are really worried about $$$ stay at home.

Edit : problem solved I was typing at the same time

thats pretty good..... But true story I stood up in a wedding a few months back and the brother of the bride was the one who wed them and he bought a new pair of shoes and put painters tape on the soles so there would be no ware marks then returned them after the wedding. How cheap is that. it was kinda funny though everytime he walked you could see the blue tape.

Please tell me that it is costing you significantly less than 56 dollars. Because at $.20 per mile at about 280 miles round trip from Waterford to Sandusky. that is how much it would cost you for overage charges on your lease. IF you happen to go over. I am guessing that most leases are around the 20 cent per mile over .

I stopped at a Lexus dealer on a friday to look for a car for my wife. The salesman handed me the keys, made a copy of my drivers lic. and said see you monday.
I never even asked to test drive it before he did that.

She got the lease, it is her car...

She got duped... as her overages are over .20 per mile. She got the car on the day of her divorce and opted for a low mile package not realizing how much she actually drives. It has been a year and she is already over 3 k miles over...

Sooooo trying to figure out a way to not put so many miles on her car over the next couple years and driving out of state I would like something trustworthy, else we would jut take my civic hoop t...

She does not like me to help her monetarily as she is very independant so this is going to end up costing her a fortune when she finally turns in the car at the end of the lease.

No, we rent them and bring them to Canada all the time for work. I'm sure if we can leave the country, you can leave the state.
