Talking SOLD - 1973 J-4000 Custom Cab, no motor, 5x5.5 D44's $300

Just don't feel like bothering with it anymore. AMC 360 already gone. Drivetrain is unipattern TH400/D20 with F44's f/r. Front is drum and has Warn lockouts. Gearing unknown, but 4.27 was common. Cab is shot. Somewhat uncommon green color scheme.

$300 for the whole thing. Not parting out.

SOLD.

Bump. I really don't want to bother with this thing. If you're waiting for it to become cheaper, you may as well be waiting for the thread to be updated with "scrapped". There's a company in Highland that hauls junkers away and that's where it will go.

Mudrunner isn't selling this, I am. :tonka:

Yes, actually. HawksCJ5 owned this prior to me and said he drove it down the street prior to removing the engine for use in his CJ-5.

Make sure you understand what this transmission is and what bolt pattern it has. The housing does not bolt directly to an AMC engine.

Do you want a closed-knuckle drum front axle in your CJ?

Although they are a good width for it, this is really not the way to go about getting lower gears. You'd probably go through more trouble and spend more money trying to swap them in than you'd spend to get re-geared.
