I bought into a cabin with my dad and uncle several years ago. We have 90 acres in Brethren with Bear Creek and the Manistee Forest on 2 sides of it.

It will probably take it being shutoff for awhile before it would effect your lake and river level downstream wouldn't it? There is another stream that joins the artesian right there anyways that is probably still providing some water.

I agree, to an extent. We stay at SFCG or state land in our camper, but it would be nice to buy something like MArv mentioned, rent the cabin out and have the 10 acres for investment / free camping.

We have a small one room cabin with an outhouse, on 5 acres in Grayling. It sets about 150 feet from our front door. I hardly ever go there. I used to store my model T Ford in it, but now it is full of stuff for the "garage sale we are going to have".

Folks had 40 acres with a mobile home on it for 25 years right outside of Lupton. Northern property line was on the Huron National forest. About 15 years ago my dad told me they were gonna sell it. Did I want it? Didn't have the money so I said no. Never got into specifics. They sold it.

A few years later my dad & I were talking. I said I missed the place. He said "well you could have had it". I said "we didn't have the money". He said, "no, your mom and I were going to give it to you since you were the only one who used it".

Moral of the story: don't beat around the bush, make your thoughts clear.

Nothing myself, but luckily my folks have a lake house on Burt Lake near Indian River. They use it as a second home for a few months of the year, and I use it as a vacation spot during some free time.

awesome spot.

take the boat/jet ski over there 3-4 times a year to hit up the chain of lakes.
