You're in luck.

My Mom just listed hers, she doesn't go up now that Dad is gone.

I don't get the whole concept of buying a cabin up north. Leave Friday afternoon, fighting traffic for 3-4 hours, get there at 10pm, unpack till midnight, crash for a few hours, get up Saturday, mow, fix more shit, shower, go eat dinner, campfire, sleep, get up Sunday, enjoy a big breakfast, pack up, fight traffic for 3-4 hours, get home, and complain about needing a vacation. Am I missing anything? Oh, yeah. The second house payment and more taxes.

West Branch to home yesterday took less than two hours. Averaged over 75mph no traffic slow downs. Fix toys at home during the week. Fix cabin stuff on weekends when I go by myself.

Worth every minute of it this weekend was fantastic very relaxing. These are cabins that I don't own myself completely. Some day when I own my own with my own property (hopefully on a river or lake) I will spend twice as much time up there.

Miff and Marv I left +$100 in your town, cool party they had going on down town on Sat.

Well i dont dissagree and i own a cabin . Ours in only 1.5 hrs away and thats if you dog it . None the less seems like all i do there is tiddy up , repair and pay land tax . I bought it with other plans but that didnt work out . We snowmachine up there some times but id say its not worth the aggrevation .

Im about to put that and 4 other homes up for sale . All ready got one on the market .

growing up my parents had 10 acres on the headwaters on the Manistee River, near Fredrick.

When I graduated High School they sold it and bought ~4 acres with a cottage on Lake Huron in Alpena

Gman wadda mean you cannot keep up maintenance on four places + rental units and still have a nice relaxing time? :)

I am looking forward to the day when we get out of the one in Prudenville with my wives family and I buy out my dad and cousin on our property in West Branch.

Speaking of West Branch my dad said that it looks like they are wrapping up the restoration work on the flowing well. They have a new pipe in place and that the water was shut off completely!

Possibility of a land contract? Pics?
The GF and I have been looking for a place, but my credit is absolutely trashed, and it's hard getting something on just her credit.
