Default amc 20 bearing info needed

i am trying to do the wheel bearing on my 82 cj7. I pulled the big nut, the 4 bolts on the flang, and unbolted the ring gear, but those shafts still wont come out. Am i forgetting something or are they just seized in?

Its a tapered bearing, so they will be in there tight. You'll need a slide hammer or some other method by which to pull on the shaft. In the past I have put the wheel back on and used a big ratchet strap around it attached to something immobile.

And what to you mean you unbolted the ring gear?

Reversing an OLD brake drum and putting several lug nuts on the studs (leaving a gap) use the drum as a slide hammer...........all 4 bolts need to be out of the retainer plate.
And x2, what DO you mean you unbolted the ring gear?

Pretty much what PP said
