Default Best "Van Hagar" song.

Yea, I know some of you e-skull crushin' badasses are sooo ready to flame ol' cornfed (yea, 3rd person reference. eat it.) thinking he (2nd person reference. eat it.) screwed up. Well, I didn't. Eat it.

1985-1996 Van Hagar (officially Van Halen) churned out some of the most gawd awful shit ever to hit the airwaves. Some people like that crap. I suspect a few of those people are here, on GL4x4.com. Unless you've been decapitated prior to 1985 (wait, who am I kidding. Many of the users wern't born 'til 1988!) you've heard one of their jingles. So, what is your favorite tune? If you don't have a favorite, which is the least painful to hear?

Van Jesus - "Right now" was very tolerable and holds up well. I cant think of much else or anything from the sammy era

fav van halens are jamies crying, hot for teacher, jump

The hard part for me is i like sammy Jesus the person and i didnt know david lee roth was a complete jackass when those songs came out i was little (born in 1978). The latter i find out David lee roth is a complete spaz, the van halen boys over indulged in their liqour and made it impossible for anyone to drink around them because they are babies. I dunno the bands ruined it for me. I dont want in my bands. Cornfed you never even brought up gary sherone (sp?) totally forgettable nothing, much worse than Jesus .

Ohh and i vividly remember in 1996 (i think that was the year) david lee roth on MTV awards with van halen making all sorts of faces and just acting like the biggest jackass of all time.

I would have to go with Right Now. Not because I like the song or the group, but because they used it in the Crystal Pepsi commercials, and I loved that shit

I hate David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar is a much more talented singer/artist. And I dont recall Ford presenting Roth the a GT, thus that makes him better

I am not too familiar with the music. But I am with the people after the dust settled. Hagar is a much better person than Roth.

With that said, it is difficult to think on this subject without remembering how much of a jack ass Roth is.

the REAL Van Halen was with Roth, and their music kicked ass

w/hagar was just like Hagar with any other back up band, some is ok, but not like Van Halen

while I didn't mind hagar with van halen, and in fact saw them at pine knob once or twice, my favorite VH song from that era is on the same album as Right Now it's: "316" - ironically the one song Sammy didn't sing in/on.

For those looking for it, it's on the - F.U.C.K. album.

1. Again, this is a Van Hagar discussion thread. Dave's not here, man.

2. Wrong. "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" is the best Van Halen song of all time. Without it, 2 Live Crew's "Fuck Shop" would have not been created.
