Just read this thread from top to bottom because I plan to run a coilover/Radius Arm setup on My 1978 GMC AKA Screamin Semen. I can see it performs great. Thanks for the videos and the great writeup. You have one sweet rig. How is the square tubing and poly bushings holding up after all the abuse? At your ride height how much lift would you consider it. Like a 8" lift? Do you know the valving in the king shocks?

Thanks man - your truck looks like it's a pretty wicked ride! sounds MEAN!

The front links have held up well, though all I've wheeled so far is the dunes with it. Poly bushings have been working pretty good, I put grease fittings in the tubes so I can keep them quiet and happy. I'd say it's probably about 8" lift in the front and closer to 6-7" in the back.

I kept the front hangers stock, and hung the shackles off the rear cage tie in tubes to the frame. It stretched the rear about 4" if I remember right, which I didn't mind. Shocks are through the bed to a crappy cross-over bar I made prior to the build and just haven't gotten around to re-doing yet. Next up is to swap out the blown/bent/beat 14" Bilsteins (great shocks BTW when you don't let them hit the frame or jump without bumpstops off the top of test hill "Leap of faith") with some 18" Kings mounted to the cage.

Valving up front is a ? for me since I bought them used and got real lucky. When I get the rear set up better with bigger shocks I'm going to be doing some tuning, but for now the front isn't the weak link. I'm a big advocate for well set up leaf springs and shocks in the rear - so my challenge to myself is to make this work really well to prove it. :)

I'll see if I can dig up more pics of the leaves, hangers, and shocks in back.

Yea i've had the same ideas as a plan for my truck and then i read this page. Radius Arm coilover with leaf spring rear and im determined to make it work. I have a ord shackle flip kit and was plannin on moving the front and rear mounts around to get better shackle angles because last time in the dunes i flipped both the rear shackles forward so the suspension was all bound up. Tryin to determine if the 63" rear leafs will be worth the swap or if i should just stick with my 4" lift rear springs with longer shackles and moved hangers. But any additional pics of the rear would be great
