You could leave the main piece clear and have the solid piece with velcro and a tinted piece with velcro...altough I may be getting carried away

just curious... why didn't you just start out with a scrambler top? it's 10 inches longer than a cj-7 as well

i used tent seal from coleman on the top after i sewed it up.

It seemed to seal up good enough, i dont drive this too often so even if it leaks alittle i wont cry about it too much.

I really liked this build.i like unusual look of cj-10a.

I am getting my Cj-10a next week after dealing with government auction paperwork for 2 months.I am planning to put a chopped-up cj or yj tub for bed.i am also looking for wagoneer for axles.

thanks,

mine has a cj-7 frame lengthened 10 inches, i recommend keeping the tug frame.

Chopping a yj or cj body is what i was originally going to do but i had mine drawn up on cad by my buddy and then sent to a shop who bent it up and sent it to me for 280$ which was a price i was happy with compared to chopping and fabbing up a jeep tub.

good luck with your build and post it up here when you start it

My Cj-10a delivered today .It is in rough condition but no serious rust problem.I broke only igniton key ,no playing with her for awhile.
I am making a project budget and timeline since both money and time is scarce.
My plan is finish the project before november since i am deploying for a year.

Good luck with the project, Gunner, and thanks for your service to the country! I have links my '10a build thread and a video clip of my finished tug IN THIS THREAD. It may give you some ideas.

Any updates on your tug, Rob? Again, we'll have to get together after work for a beer sometime soon. E-mail me if you'd like. I'm living on the NW side of GR now.

Updates are that i am building my front D60 DRW chevy axle and i am currently looking to find a rear for it.. It was super clean internally and came appart like butter. It is now shaved/painted and awaiting installation.

I am going to be running 37's and H1 rims.
