I dig the monster articulation of this thing. How did you get all that flex? You're going to design my next suspension you rok-god!

The problem with the carb sounds like a float issue, either its sticking or out of adjustment.

when i took it apart i had it running for awhile...
i took the top part of the carb off first (while still on jeep) to see the float level...that was good...
the float may be sticking but i have a rebuild kit comming,
so that may take care of some issues too..

NOTE: it runs better now that i found a vacumm leak, but it still seems like the timing is off just alittle bit but its not..

Try getting some Indian Head gasket sealer (small brown bottle, white cap) and use it on the base gasket of the carb, it is the only thing I have had luck with when sealing up the base gasket. You still may be sucking a little air there. I had to use it on ALL the carb gaskets on my dad's '73 Buick (also a Rochester 2G) to get it to quit sucking air at the gaskets. It is nasty stuff and doesn't come off for anything, so make sure you have all your settings right as far as float level etc... before you use it, as it will ruin the gasket if you have to take it back apart.

My float was set to spec (1" for my Rochester 2G) and It was still overflowing into the cylinders, I had to adjust it to put a little less fuel in then spec said and my issue went away and the engine still runs great.

Mine was flooding so bad that raw fuel would come out the drivers side glass pack. (225 V6 in the flattie)

Rob - It looks like you're starting to graft a stamped upper tub edge on the bed (driver side looks done). That'll make the whole setup look 100% better.

BTW, regarding the "dics" comment..."With friends like us...".

unfortunately no,

Tugly has a series of runability issues up to this point,

but hopefully silverlake is in its future before the summer is over.

Highsteer is done,

The HS arms and TRE's are really close to the tires though.

I may need to buy new rims with a different offset.
