Offensive is a strong word, what the hell's so offensive. If that's the case, we should start suing all the party stores 'round here that claim they're "American Owned" for being offensive. Stating the obvious is really not all that offensive.

If I go to Germany, I don't expect everyone to speak fluent English to make my trip more convenient. Some of them do, a lot of people 'round the world do, it's the language of the most powerful country in the world as far as business and trading go... But it's not manditory, and it would be very forward to assume otherwise. So why is it that we, as Americans, should be expected to speak every single language in the world so that if someone crosses our borders, they don't have to bother learning the language and customs of the country they're making their home...

When in Rome, after all...

unless there is a dress code for shirts and hats they have no case, border patrol is no more offence than a chairty NYFD, FBI, County parks and rec, or any bureau or division of the goverment hat.

Second unless they ban all bumper stickers, window stickers etc, HE is the only one being discriminated against.

What a pile of shit that story is. Its offensive that he speaks english. Well if more gardeners and lawncar people spoke it, it would not be a way to differentiate himself. Hows fault is it that so many immigrants are in lawn care, and whos fault is it that they dont bother to learn english when they are IN A FUCKING SERVICE COMPANY WITH THE AMERICAN PUBLIC. Some people really drive me craZY.:miff:

since im involved in the green industry as well, i get to deal with these non-english speaking immigrants all the time.

i somewhat agree with the "if you dont speak english get the fukc out" statement, because this IS america, and, although some people will dispute it, english IS our primary language

however, and i know this because i boss around a small army of 8-10 guatemalans/mexicans during the spring/summer/fall. they, in fact, are the only people we have found that will do the jobs that i tell them to do with minimal bitching (if i'm present, they dont bitch...they know better). we went through 20+ people from nearby trailer parks that didnt last more than a week.

i have never seen anybody that can
iIN SPANGLISH: "drive a chovel"
as good as these guys can. its like they're born to do it.

so, i do agree that there is nothing wrong with this guy's advertisement. i think its great. just wanted to make the point that there are a lot of jobs that they do that your typical "cracker" wont think of doing.
