Default Column Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have a column for a 1987 Jeep Wagoneer Limited?

I Had it come lose about 2 months ago took it apart and tightened it up but some of the rods got twiked, and the ignition was hard to turn sometimes but It was working okay. Then a few days ago the aux power started cutting out. (Radio, C lighter, heat controls, turn signals) but it still would start. Now you can turn the key to any position and different things start to work. Today Im sitting in my house and my radio in my Truck turned on, I went out and touch the ignition and it turned off. Just now I just went out to leave and the trucks dead. Please PM me. I really dont want to pull the whole column so if you have any idea please let me know. Thanks

I told the truck if it doesnt stop breaking Im not lifting her

It could be a bad key cylinder, or a bad ignition switch......

The way it works.....

Key goes into cylinder on column, from there is a metal rod going down to the switch near the base of the column. that switch is probally pretty worn.

not a hard fix, a couple of piece of trim to remove, loosen the column to drop it and make it easy, the switch is like to connectors and 2 screws, and can be had for $10 as most aut parts stores.
