Default long day at the autorama

I tell you what..leave the kids at home! they wore my wife out with all the whining. got to see alot of folks, I saw Charlie from Overhaulin and Boyd Cottings shops. I met the old guy from MonstersGarage(he painted the `54 Chevy) just standing by a table doing nothing(I don't think people realized who he was)talked about the next job he did with JJ and crew. went down stairs and passed by the two hosts from Over Haulin. saw lots of crew from Fooses shop. when we got down stairs there was "Q" from West Coast Customs and one of the other guys who I can't remember his name. and some where in there my son got a picture and autograph of a lions player ..guy named Drummond? if that sounds right???
I think he must have been a receiver he wasn't very big.
oh yea there was nice cars there too.

We went last night and seen a lot of people that I knew from my show car days. Did you guys see the hero truck that costed $650,00.00 to build, $80,000. and 1200 hours just to paint it.

I am going to try to go tommrow (well today now) but last year i meet and taked to Foose for about 5 min. Very very nice guy to meet Hope i see him again if i go.
Oh Did any one get pics of the Ford 500 GT-R. A bunch of students from WCC made that thing. I have seen it beeing built the whole time. Started it in July with a AWD 500 and now its one crazy ass 500hp mid engine rwd road car. The thing that sucks is it will be crushed when they are done with it.

Why are they going to crush it? Is it a concept or something?

Funny/sad story about Autorama. The wife, sons and I were going Friday night. Loaded up the minivan and took off about 4:30. Within minutes the boys into a fight, I yelled out a warning about turning the van around. Figured they were probably excited about the show and hungry so I let the fighting slide. Went to BK drive thru. No happy meals toys for the boys because of the fight. A few more miles down the road in Holly they start whining about not getting any BK toys and whining about how long until we get there. Mind you we are in Holly and we live in Fenton. We haven't made it very far.

They kept whining and whining. Then I said, "That's it, I'm turning the car around". Like I read a line from the father manual.

So we drove home in complete silence and missed the show. Damn kids.

I hope you still have your boys hanging from chains in there bedrooms. I am taking my kids, but they are a lot better behaved since I enforced the bedroom chain punishment :p
