Land & trail issue section...Where is it?

I cannot believe you forgot that! any way the ORV Adisory board meeting was long, lots of folks got up to speak, and the majority of things went well. I was sitting by the door of the meeting last night, there was a gentlman there that I have hunch was watching for some high ups. suit & tie and was not mingling with the rest of the crowd, witch was about 30-40 people + board members. ATV Offroad club had almost the whole one side of the room for seating, the right side of the room was made up mostly of CCC, GL & Pathfinder Members. the issue about Galdwin trail being closed down was a huge topic. everone had something to say. one gentlman told the board they were presented with flooding pictures of county roads & truck trail that were used to shut down ORV trail. the truck trail & roads were never shut down. as it stands now the south loop of ORV trail is open as is the truck trail. the middle & north loops have not been reopened, so cross your fingers that they will reopen by spring `06

I was doing my home work to find that it was R.J. Witte from Vally Trail riders who spoke up about the discripences of the pictures. he was also tearing up the DNR for refusal of Voliteers to help restire Gladwin. I have read bit about the contractors doing the work being to told "not to rush things". should be interesting to see whats coming for Gladwin.

another note the state alocated monies to build a new rock course at St. Helen motorsport complexe.

I'm not a quad user, but I agree that north section of the Gladwin trail has been closed too long. That was 2/3's of the trail, didn't leave you guys with much left to ride on.

And that is Wonderful news about the Rocks in St. Helen.....I'm glad GLFWDA has pushed for that. I guess GL is doing things for MI wheeling, contrairy to what most non members think.

given that St. Helens is the largest scramble area in the state (over 1200 acres) it would only seem fit that there be something for eveyrone

And we have our first moderator chosen for the site.

I've been waiting for someone to mention it, and I figured they would be the best to take care of it, because they actually care.

Thanks Yetti
