I have two cats that you can have and snuggle with. Animals are stress relieving. :D

Wheelin helps me... Though your jeep aint here and i doubt your dad would appreciate you takin his... alos i get a lot of stress releif from playing my durms..also prob not an option for you.. i would seriously find time just to sit back and relax watch some tv.. you're making yourself sick from being overworked and sleep depravation... Before it becomes a serious health risk put the books down, take a nice LONG nap and just relax !

Whenever I get super stressed a long motorcycle ride is what I use to get rid of it. Basically anything with an engine that I can rag on works, but a bike clears my head of everything - kinda like nothing else matters when I'm riding.

But since I've got no bike anymore, I've found going to the gym daily helps keep the stress down.

Yea, the does it for me too. I get depressed in the winter because I can't ride my motorcycle. I should make some tire chains for it!

When I was in college and working = stressed and sleep deprived, one of the most refreshing things I did was in the middle of the day play corrosion of conformity's CD 'deliverance' on the home stereo as loud as I could take and fall asleep on the couch.

It was seriously unbelievable how refreshing that always was.

i like to play war type games, drive fast, have a smoke, drink, and watch tv. I also would suggest picking up some kind of shooting activity, other than sex, there is almost nothing better then making a little clay pigion explode.

Sit down Stef, look at how your breathing. You will probably find that you're breathing with your upper body, from your chest. If so, make an effort to breathe from your belly. The more you realize you are chest breathing and stop to belly breathe, the calmer you will be. It will slow your heartbeat, lower your blood pressure and at least short term give you a relaxed feeling.

Oh, and here is an amusing smilie

I dont know you personally but i figured i would share some of what has worked for me and my friends...HTH.

i had a female friend once who got kinda in the same stressful state you are in...I decided she needed to go shoot some crap..so we took her to a firing range with as much ammo and as many weapons as we could collect and let her have at it....when we finished she said (big word warning) "that was the most cathargic thing I have ever done"..as far as i could tell all was well, she felt better

.i think it allowed her to relaese her rage into something..but i aint a pscho therapists so that just my belief...

when i get all twisted and life seems to be handing me dimes i go to a range and punch holes in whatever i can find, or i punish myself physically. be it at the gym or on my mtn bike or throwing on a seventy five pound pack and giong for a solid distance forced march in the hills away from people... ...regardless of what people believe it helps...guess you just have to find a way to express whatever your frustration is outwardly to expell it from your self.....

i do much the same when i get sick..try to force/sweat as much of it out as possible so you will be exhausted when you return and sleep will be easy. which will ideally allow your body and mind to rest/recupurate....i know this is a long rambling mess but i hope it helps....take care of yourself....kick it in the ass..

RLTW,
Maier

I wish I could take a bubble bath. Basically having any peace at home is out of the questions. I live in a college apartment complex. The bathtub is gross and old and I don't trust soaking in it. Any time for quiet is pretty much out of the question with loud neighbors.

I seem to get more upset when I go for a drive by myself. I think more and stuff bothers me more. Plus, gas is so expensive.

When I'm stressed I like playing the x-box. A good killing game like Soldier of Fortune where when you kill them in the game they just don't dissappear. You can still shoot, knife and club the bodies. Sometimes I listen to music. I can't work on the jeep or read when I'm stressed. I can't focus on reading and all I'll end up doing to the jeep is smashing it with a hammer.

It's down to $2.11 from $2.80 or whatever it was a month or two ago. :miff:

That's still expensive. I have to pay for my own gas, remember? I can't even pay my rent right now.

Student loans are a lifesaver. They pay for just about everything right now.
