Suggestion for Marketplace

I would like to request that listing live animals of any kind in the for sale forums be stopped. This solves the problem of people bashing dog for sale threads such as I have done today. If they can't be sold here, it is one more step towards people not breeding too many dogs purely for profit when there are tons of responsible and intelligent breeders that still work to insure dogs are bred properly. Or better yet, they will go to a rescue or shelter to get a new pet.

Heres a suggestion for you. Follow the rules. What you started is NO DIFFERENT than bashing someone for selling a $100 turd at $1000.

If you don't agree make a statement somewhere else, but bashing someone in a for sale thread no matter how long they have been here is fvcking ridiculous.

I agree with 84Scrambler. Craigslist does not allow selling live animals, for the same reason it should not be allowed here.

I tried not to bash the person in the Marketplace, but I did put forth my own opinion.

Theres two ways to look at it.

I've seen 10+ animals that WOULD HAVE WENT TO SHELTERS, sold or giving away to other gl4x4 members who gave them a good house to stay.

On the other hand, you have people using it purely to profit from letting their animals hump like drunk rabbits.

Its a two way street.

Why add your opinion though? You weren't buying and you weren't the seller. There was no reason for you to say anything in the thread.

Don't get me wrong. Puppy farms disgust me BUT having people with double standards disgusts me more.

And you went back to the thread to whore it some more and tell everyone to look here.

If you want attention that bad, go to a Kerry Q&A and blirt out your opinion and resist arrest...or an airport strapped with an artificial bomb (see: The Pub......where all your off-topic rants should have been in the first place...)

IMO, the problem isn't with the Marketplace... it's with people posting their opinions in the WRONG FORUM.

I took Elusive's cat a month ago or so, but I don't know if he ever posted it.

What is it about the thread that suggests those dogs were bred improperly? If they don't get taken, they're going to go to the already overcrowded shelters anyway. I can't tell if you're posting in favor of breeders or shelters.

Either way, I would have deleted that crap immediately.

It's one thing to try and find a good home for an animal that is in need of one. But it's completely another to be selling them for profit...

I semi agree with Scrambler...but only because this is the guy's first and only post?? It does make it seem like someone joined the site just to sell these dogs....who is this person?

The reason I look to GL4x4 for stuff before anywhere else is that I have some trust of the folks that are on here on a regular basis.

Then again...buyer beware...no one has to buy them.

So does this mean I can sell dead ones?

So point it out to someone, but to bash someone in a thread will just make others possibly leary of trying to sell because they to could be bashed.
