I ride my quad from waterford michigan(by Mott High School) all the way to white lake(by Mr.c's Ice Cream)(Elizabeth Lk. Rd. and Williams Lk. Rd.) I make that trip all the time with my quad and usually a trailor bigger than my quad. No cop has ever said anything to me. I always were a full face helmet though and I dont act like a idiot I go like 5 or 10 miles per hour. I was sitting in the turn lane crossing M59 right by blockbuster and Meijers with a trailor big enough to hold two of my quads and a Cop past me and didnt do nothing.(I had a helmet on though. Put I didn get pulled over once, put I was on a quad with my friend Matt Parker and we didnt have helmets on or headlights and it was 10:30pm at night.lol. but he let us go and drive it home.lol. Im pretty sure its not legal. Unless theres conditions where your automobile is unable to drive on the roads due to snow or floods or somethings like that.

Arn't you supposed to be able to ride them on the road if you have a Slow Moving Vehicle triangle on it?

He wants facts with legislative references. Not cute stories about what you may have gotten away with.

Was that really called for?

Being freshly out of highschool I would expect your grammar to be better than what it seems also.

BTW, good job implicating your friends in possibly illegal activity by posting their full names on the internet.

Guess what? That's not going to automatically stop anybody from getting charged that gets busted for something. :miff: This happened in the past and its highly unlikely that anyone will do anything about it, but the problem is your "They can't do anything attitude".

If you have something as simple as a traffic ticket and don't get it resolved before you deploy, you'll end up with a fine for not paying it, a suspended license, and usually a bench warrant after not appearing. They will keep soldiers at the MOB Station until JAG straightens out any outstanding legal issues any soldier may have. That means the unit may end up leaving him behind and then deploying with less soldiers than planned and replacements can take months to arrive depending on the unit. Imagine him coming home on leave after being there for 6-8 months and getting put in jail because he had a warrant out for his arrest that he didn't know about and then missing your plane back and being AWOL from a Deployment? They'll think he deserted.

If anything, that would make it a hell of a lot worse under UCMJ (do you even know what that is?) and then he'll kick your ass when he gets back for getting him reduced in rank, getting his pay suspended, or for having corrective action taken against him.

Instead, how about you just not be a dumbass and try not to get your buddies fucked over by posting crap about them on a public forum? Use your brain and think about what you say.

I just got here so Ill be short. its very probable the act of riding on the roads is illegal in most areas. the makes allowences for handicapped folks and Farmers which side step many of the current laws. if you read the links PP posted they take up most of the stuff.
if you like use the www.legislature.mi.gov page to do a text search. use the term "Orv" and it will bring up all the current laws. it does not bring up county ordinances. I have links in the rules & regs to some of them.
