Default '83 scrambler (pics added)

A guy I work with has a srambler with a built 406 s.b chevy that I've been wanting to buy. well I can't afford it, so I'm letting you know about it.
It has about 5k into the motor: dart heads, 12.5 to 1 pistons, headers, and set up with nitrous.
400 turbo trans, 205 case(he thinks), stock axles and stock springs with sand tires on it since thats what he used it for. He has a hard half top and soft top. the front clip flips up and the body is in desent shape but with need some work. It's been sitting for over 5 years in his poll barn now, and he really has no interest in it anymore. It sat for another 5 years before he bought it.
he's asking $4000 (but will take less)

Can you please PM me a phone #? I know someone who would be interested in this. Of course, photos would be great, too.

Thanks,
Craig

I went over their today and heard it run after it has sat for 5 years. This motor is mean as hell. The owner was told by the engine builder that the engine was capible of 650 to 700 H.P. with the right headers, carb., intake, and set-up. And it sounds like it. Needs to be cleaned up a bit though. The frame is solid and clean.

The heart of the beast. Warning! don't judge book by the cover.

Here's the bad part of the body. Both sides of the jeep look like this. The rest of the jeep is in great shape.

This is still for sale. I know alot of you pm'ed me about it, but the owner says no one has even called on it. Call and make an offer.
He's thinking of building a old muscle car, so if anyone has something they might want to trade for it make a offer. plus he said he might sell it with out the motor.

2Hp per Cu.In. with small tube headers and stock heads and HEI?

I think that might be scaring some people off- I know it is a major red flag for me.

It has dart heads not stock and it does need better headers!
Call the owner and ask him for more info, he told me all the stuff that was done to it, but I don't remember.

The motor was built about 7 years ago by Dave Peazel. Dave Peazel is the cousin of the owner of the Predater monster truck and Dave does all of the engine work for Predater.(from what I was told)
If you have any questions, Call the owner.
