Default You Gotta have a screw loose BEAR !!!

Ok Boys here is the story . By the way Its been a while good to see you all !!!!!!!
I sold my Harley . I have always wanted to build a Rat Rod. A YJ Wangler Rat Rod . With Flat,Tube style, open fenders. Chop the top . Angle it down. Full with rear axle with wide meats. Lowered. I need some suggestions
on a doner front end. Cheep doner. like an old I-beam pickup front end. The BRICK body style lends itself to a RAT
project. I want to meld my love of the YJs with a Rat Rod

Like this but YJ STYLE!!!

What do you think

Mike and I want to do the same, but to a Flattie.

I am hoping we find a prestine one to cut-up, because building a rat rod has always been about pissing people off.

I think as long as you keep it 4wd this group won't care till its done.

My take:
lengthen the nose of it so that the foot area is under the hood.
flatten the floor and make the person more stretched out like the old rat rods.
shorten up the back/shorten the tub for a true two seater.
do a wide back tire and a narrow front.
angle the window(like ya said).
drop the cage to 2 inches above the drivers head if you put a cage in at all.

Oh and 6 of something like these please.

I am not sure how a jeep would look as a rat, but give us a photoshop or something, I guess it could work.

So is this santabear ?

i was thinking about that the other day. It would rock if you could find a cj-10a for the tub (you cant have mine). My dad saw my 10a tub and said you should do a jeep rat rod.

So.............you should build one.

Where's the pic Jeepr used to use of the MB rat rod?

I'll say this, when the Prowler was developed, they used wrangler tubs and prowler fronts to make the mule vehicles.... looked like ass.

Sounds like a good idea. I like anything that cuts up a jeep to piss the purists off. Find the rarest, nicest body you can...

I don't speak japanese, either. I speak cars and trucks, and as a car guy, I try to learn about all of them.

FJ-40s are the traditional jeep-like land cruisers.

the truck versions are FJ-45s.

At least thats my understanding, I don't know TOO much about TLCs. Actually, looks like the Jeep project might get greenlighted once we complete our move. I'll be nice to ditch the toyota body and run a Jeep again.

nickpicky, perhaps?

Start show a picture of a CJ-6 and call it a CJ-5 on a Jeep site, and you'll get the same reponse. (If you don't speak ohioan, a CJ-6 is a stretched CJ-5)
