Yes...yes it is. And, once I'm done with that, there is no reason to have two built jeeps sitting around the house.

I have also seen it, very very clean and stands out in a parking lot. When he picked up teh YJ master cylinder from me I walked out of my office building and spotted it right away.

Also he is a great guy, and looked like he took very good care of it.

Thanks again for dropping off Strangler's FSM.

How many miles are on the motor trans and t case? Is it a stick or auto? Does the spare tire and high lift come with it?

Default The YJ

Whole vehicle has 110,000. the motor is original. the trans was rebuilt right before i bought it 3 years ago.transfer case is original. The previous owner (from texas) told me that 40,000 of the original miles were from the Jeep being towed behind an RV, so that would mean that the drivetrain doesn't have those 40,000 (wether this is true or not...i don't know, but it drives perfect).

The spare comes with it and I actually have a second 31" bogger on a chrome rim that will come with it as well. The highlift can also be included.

Its a stick. the clutch is good.

This Jeep drives like a daily driver...it runs very well, it would just need less aggressive tires if you were going to drive it around all the time (and these boggers are expensive tires as many of you know!!)

How much money do you have into it? KBB is a lot lower than your asking price and I know its not a good indicator for price but is it worth 7k?

When i bought it, I had to pay a premium price to get a rust free vehicle in the midwest. Is it worth a little more $ for a jeep that has absolutely no rust? In my mind yes...I had to pay quite a bit more for it when I bought it. This Jeep is very nice. Most YJ I have seen (especially this old) are pretty ratty. This one is not.

Also, It has custom bumpers with D-rings and a 2" receiver - $450
Carr Rotobar light bar with 4 KC Daylighters - $200
MP3 Player - $200
Super Swamper Boggers - $950 (bought new in May)
Wheels 15x10 aluminum - $350 (new with tires)
2 spare boggers on chrome rims - $100 ish
Lift 4" suspension professionally installed - $750
Sway bar disco's - $100
CJ Hardtop (currently painted like an Ohio State football helmet...could just spray it black) and CJ hard doors - $200 (because of the paint)
bikini top- $40
hi-lift jack - $40

A jeep that isnt rusted out or drive like crap.... priceless

Thats over $3000 alone in parts...I'm not expecting to recover all of that of course, but I know what I want to sell it for!

And it has a brand new steering gear box, new fuel pump, new wheel bearing to mention a few.

The paint is original and it looks great. I tell people this is an 87 (19 years old!!) and they don't believe me. The previous owner took great care of it and I have babied it. I have maintained the engine and all fluids well.

You just have to ask yourself, do you want to buy a crappy, rusted out YJ that you will have to pour money and time into, or do you want a very nice looking, running, performing Jeep that will last forever as long as you keep the rust off of it?

We all know KBB doesn't really fully apply to built Jeeps or rust free vehicles up north.

I have no doubt that that jeep is amazing, I am comletley sold on it just need to make up the difference in my bank account. Have you run it in the winter? This would be my daily driver and not to mention taking me from Grand Rapids to the UP, UP all fall and winter, then back down home, practical?

Default make an offer

This jeep was my daily driver for 2 years, and still is driven daily (although now with the bigger tires, i have another commuter car). I actually drove this jeep back and forth from columbus to chicago twice a month when i lived there. I drive it almost everyday here after i get home from work. Definitely can be a daily driver and drive long distances. It will do 70 on the highway too. If you were going to drive it daily, you might want to consider switching out the tires for all terrains, but these would work. They are very aggressive and noisy tires ...which I like. Let me know, and it is best offer...i will entertain offers that are in the "range" of $7000.

Hey this is a nice YJ! It is really clean. Ive seen TJ's that aren't as clean as this.

I am selling my YJ too, and a lot of people are questioning the higher price on mine. People don't understand what a nice, older jeep is worth. I hope they don't ever go try to by a classic car. I could see them now, asking "it's 50 years old....why is it ore than a brand new one?" I have like $12000 into mine and im selling it for the same as you. I ened up putting mine on Ebay and im having pretty good luck on there.

Good luck with your sale. bump for ya.

Thanks buddy, you hit it right on with the nice older jeep thing. I payed a premium for it when I bought it because it was nice, and I expect the same.

The hard top is glorious....
